The sensor on this device detects the vibrations hitting the walls, ceiling and floor and amplifies them so that you can hear what is being discussed. If the sound wave is short, this means people are speaking in a lower tone, so you can use the volume control located on the back of this gadget to adjust the volume, increasing the amplification of the sensors.
