Amplificatorul de semnal GSM este un dispozitiv de repetare a semnalului ce permite mutarea si distribuirea acestuia dintr-o zona unde este existent intr-o zona unde acesta lipseste.

Description

Information for users!

GSM repeaters / GSM signal boosters are high-tech devices that require specialist installation to avoid potential interference in the radio frequency spectrum. Incorrect installation may affect existing mobile communication systems in the area where they are located and, in extreme cases, access to the emergency number 112.

To put such a device into operation, users must obtain the consent of the National Agency for Communications Management and Regulation (ANCOM) or from the licence holders for the frequency band(s) in which the device is to be used. Without their written consent, access to the frequency band is prohibited and may be subject to penalties under the law.

ANCOM is the institution that regulates the communications sector in Romania and issues licences for the use of radio frequencies.

We wish to provide the best possible information to customers and future users of these products in order to avoid any inconvenience and prevent malfunctions in telecommunications systems.

For successful installation and to achieve optimal results, the external antenna (the antenna that picks up the GSM signal) must be installed in a location where the signal you wish to transmit indoors is strong. Before purchasing this product, you should check this aspect. We recommend testing the GSM network with a mobile phone at the exact location where the signal-receiving antenna will be installed. At this location, you must ensure that the exact type of network you wish to bring indoors is available. If you have a 3G signal outside, this device will only be able to transmit a 3G signal.

Thick building walls, basements, low-lying areas, tunnels, metal structures, long distances to the operator’s transmitter, etc., are obstacles that make the mobile/internet signal inaccessible. A solution available to everyone is the GSM repeater.

A dual-frequency GSM booster or repeater is a device that enables the transmission and distribution of the GSM signal from an area where it is available to an area where it is not.

Using a signal booster kit is an effective solution for providing signal coverage in indoor areas where it is lacking, and for improving the services provided by the major mobile network operators:

- Orange, Vodafone, Telekom and Digi (in towns, suburban areas and rural settlements where GSM networks operate in the 2100 MHz and 2600 MHz frequency bands).

Installing a signal booster is justified in places where there is no GSM signal and where the simultaneous use of several devices (phones, modems, routers), or in places where a cable connection to an external antenna is impractical.
Using a signal booster offers the following advantages: improved call quality, increased internet/data transfer speeds, and freedom of movement within the signal coverage area.

Recommended for rural areas, houses, holiday homes, and commercial or industrial buildings with a satisfactory signal outdoors but insufficient signal indoors.

Key features:

Operating frequencies supported by the booster:

Vodafone:

  • 3G: 2100 MHz
  • 4G: 2600 MHz

Telekom:

  • 3G: 2100 MHz
  • 4G: 2600 MHz

Orange:

  • 3G: 2100 MHz
  • 4G: 2600 MHz

Digi:

  • 3G: 2100 MHz
  • 4G: 2600 MHz

Maximum coverage: 500–1500 sq m (under ideal conditions: maximum incoming signal strength, coverage area free of obstacles. In practice, the coverage depends on the location and the gain of the indoor antenna).

It redirects the mobile signal from all operators providing mobile services in the specified frequency band, from an area where it is available to one where it is not.

The package contains:

1. A two-way, dual-band GSM repeater, fitted with input and output connectors

2. AC/DC power supply adapter

3. External antenna (receiver)

4. A 10-metre ‘low loss’ RF240 cable with an N-type connector for connection to the amplifier’s ‘BTS’ port

5. Internal antenna (transmitter)

6. ‘Low loss’ RF240 cable and N-type connector for connection to the ‘USER’ port on the amplifier, 10 metres

Please note!

This device successfully relays the signal it picks up in one area to another where there is no signal or where signal strength is low, and can improve the signal in areas with poor reception.
In other words, the GSM signal that the device picks up outside the home is relayed indoors, rather than being amplified. It is marketed as an amplifier, but in fact it relays the signal from one place to another.
If there is no area where the signal is strong enough to be picked up and then relayed by the transmitting antenna into the enclosed space indoors, the device will not work.

It cannot be used in open spaces such as gardens and fields.

The signal booster kit must be installed by qualified personnel, as incorrect installation may cause interference in the radio spectrum and affect mobile phone networks.

Useful installation tips:

For successful installation, the distance between the antennas must be at least 20 metres, so that there is no communication between them (they must not be in sight of each other, and one must not pick up the signal transmitted by the other).

To avoid this situation:

1. The antennas must be oriented in different directions, even if one is indoors and the other outdoors. So, if the receiving antenna is facing west, the indoor one must be mounted behind it, facing east, so that it can transmit towards the east.

2. The transmitting antenna resembles a mushroom. It must be mounted below the level of the receiving antenna, somewhere on the ceiling, and pointed downwards (the opposite way to a mushroom) so that it transmits downwards.

3. The external antenna must be positioned at a higher level than the internal antenna. For example, the external antenna should be mounted on a mast situated on the roof of the house, whilst the internal antenna should be on a lower floor. Under no circumstances should the signal be picked up from the balcony and routed into a room on the same level.

If the aerials are visible, this creates a field that may interfere with the radio spectrum and the waves emitted by GSM networks.

After every successful installation and commissioning of the device, the area where the receiving antenna is located must be checked to ensure that a signal is still present.

If the installation is correct, the GSM signal in the area of the external antenna (receiving antenna) should not be affected when the device is put into operation.

The devices comply with all applicable standards and requirements, enabling them to be sold on both the EU and US markets.
